Workplace HEPA Promotion

Workplace physical activity UKK Institute

The working group provides a platform for exchanging practices to promote health-enhancing physical activity (HEPA) and to reduce sedentary behaviour in workplaces across the countries within WHO European Region.

During 2015-2018 the working group was chaired by Ms Minna Aittasalo, UKK Institute for Health Promotion Research, Finland, minna.aittasalo(a)uta.fi and Ms Matleena Livson, Finnish Olympic Committee, Finland, matleena.livson(a)olympiakomitea.fi. The activities included surveys about country-specific practices, LinkedIn-group for sharing national experiences, webinars on pragmatic examples and collaboration with other European networks such as European Network for Workplace Health Promotion (ENWHP) and PEROSH.

In Fall 2018, after the HEPA Europe Conference in London, Minna and Matleena handed over to four new leaders: Ine De Clerck (ine.declerck(a)arteveldehs.be), Anna Puig-Ribera (annam.puig(a)uvic.cat), Ilkka Väänänen (ilkka.vaananen(a)lamk.fi) and Sebastià Mas Alòs (smas(a)inefc.es). Information on future activities will no longer be updated in this website. A link to new communication channel will be provided as soon as it is confirmed.
